Yeah they do look good mate.....you love the stealth look!
I'm interested in getting some new rear clusters for mine, i really liked the ones Lee and Young had on theirs on sunday! have no idea where they got them from or what they are called? Lee/Young - maybe you could advise???

Re: Lights are here
Actually, mine are black too but don't have a tinted glass... and they are a straight swap for the originals. You just need to transfer the bulbs across to the new lights and make sure you use a new gasket on each light or you'll get serious leaks!PaulMGTF160 wrote:No there slightly different design i think! there the same as Rich but his are Chrome and mine black. out them up to car this morning..... going to look awesome!!

Re: Lights are here
Not really... You don't need them with the tinted glass. In fact, you have to strain to see the orange bulbs on mine. That's why I didn't bother changing them. I do have a pair kicking about though as I bought them seperately for the Trophy ZR lights I had on my Rover 200. I'm keeping hold of them, but you could always sell yours... Gotta be worth a fiver at least! Shove them in the Marketplace section...

Re: Lights are here
Rich do you know what lights Lee and Young have on their TF and Trophy and where i can get them from?
they mentioned they changed their bulbs for the chrome ones so the lights dont look like fried eggs?!?

Re: Lights are here
These are the rear light options (courtesy of the MGF Centre website)...
Lee, Simon and Stew all have the lower left ones which really should have the chrome bulbs as they are fully visible. Mine are the top left ones and Paul's are the same as mine but with tinted/smoked glass.
Hopefully that's all clear now, or perhaps tinted...

Re: Lights are here
Personally, I prefer the design I went for (the original design for sale from MG Rover, although superceded by the others towards the end of their life) I reckon they look a better finish in both tinted and clear, and there's not so much red showing (so it doesn't clash with purple so much)... but that's just my (and Paul's) opinion!

P.S. Banner's have a habit of appearing when I'm fiddling in PhotoShop... Don't tell Ally or I'll get more nagging that her's is out of date!

Re: Lights are here
But they aren't Lexus lights! In fact, they are alot closer to Mazda lights (ooh, I just used a bad word... sorry!). If you look at the back of a Mazda 6 or RX8, you'll see what I mean. Lexus use pretty standard lights these days!!!!Da!sh! wrote:personaly im not a huge fan of Lexus light that are not on a lexus, but them being darker look quite good.

Yeah i can see where you are coming from with the red and purple...however...sometimes i think that too much black/darker background can make the purple look a little bit 'dull' and loses its pearled effect?
Too late for that i think!!!
Ally - You must know where your parents hide your birthday presents by now...surely you can carefully unwrap the box and replace them with your orange ones without them knowing?!?!? but dont foret to act surprised when you open them again!

same here! thats why i like these as the dark cover masks the underneath and looks very tidy!
I think different cars suit different designs too. Its all to do with the colour!

Re: Lights are here
Go for the chrome ones then (top right)! They really do suit the trophy blue TFs I've seen, and would probably suit yours too. I've got a pic somewhere...Seb wrote:Yeah i can see where you are coming from with the red and purple...however...sometimes i think that too much black/darker background can make the purple look a little bit 'dull' and loses its pearled effect?
