how long does the residual glow last for ? if it's permanent then I'd be concerned, if its for 30 seconds or so it's probably Ok, I guess Rich is the best guy to comment

Not sure about the glow. Mine go out Pretty quickly in Ollie and Smudge. I take it they go out completely in the end. I wouldn't worry too much about the battery as LEDs use hardly any power at all. That's why when people put them in main lighting the system reports them as blown when they are working fine.

I'll have a look at the weekend for you if you like. Thumbs up

The glow is down to the type of LED as some LED's light up from less than 1volt supply giving them a glow, I have this on my LED in the ZS, it will not drain off the power from the battery making it go flat, even if the light was left permanently on it would take a long time for it to drain off the battery as the LED uses less power than the standard capless bulbs in TF (festune in ZS) please don't ask me how much as I can never remember figures lol Smile

So it was both bulbs blown in the mirror, not electric supply problem?

I keep thinking I will put red ones in but never seem to get round to buying them! Will get around to it one of these days.

Hmm, hadn't thought of that Rich Embarassed maybe I will stick with white! Laughing

By the way, need to sort out picking up the ZS Fog lights - I should have known once we got out into the car park would never get back into the pub!

Where in Northampton are you? Ed may be able to pick them up when he is out and about or I may be able to pick them up on Sunday if you are home.

Can't make Longbridge unfortunately.

Cheers

Fitted LED's Empty Different lights!

Post  StevePem 14/4/2011, 3:41 am

I am helping Ed take his rear bumper off Sunday afternoon (so he can fit new grill) but can probably call to the meet for a quick drink en-route.

Is the location chosen yet? Will check Lee's thread!

I would definitely like to do the speedo/rev cluster lights in red.

Not sure I want to rip the centre console out, yet again, to do all the lights in there.
