Dear all , your advise would be really welcomed, driving along yesterday and a pot hole jumped out at me and gave the car a massive jolt. We arrived home i noticed that the lense cover from the side light had popped out and is now trapped within the headlamp unit. Is a full head lamp out job to gain access or has anybody got a quicker solution.

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately, the news isn't that good. I've just spoken to my good friend MG guru, Roger Parker, and he has confirmed that the front cover on the TF headlight is not removable like the MGF ones. It is plastic bonded and although you could try breaking the seal, you may end up damaging the light. The only other thing you can try is manipulating the headlight to pull the sidelight back into place. Either way, you'll need to take it off, which means front bumper off too to gain access to the lower mounting bolts. Suspect

The alternative is a second hand headlight (New ones are £170 each from XPart!) so perhaps browse eBay...

(Sorry, you didn't say which side!)
