Blinded by the lights
I managed to get hold of an LE500 interior mirror with the LED down lighters this week via xpower forums for a very good price and considering that there is no current stock available too. Anyway it didn't come with the wiring connector so I had to make one up with soldering new pins on the wires and then using the block casing from the original mirror, but overall was a real quick and simple mod that has made a huge difference
Best pic taken so far from my phone.
I have also had a very special delivery today for the car that I will have fitted for MGF15 as something new for this year but your all have to wait and see what it could be

Bright light, bright light (excuse the eighties film reference ).... wow that looks like you'd actually be able to see the interior at night, nice update!
Oh and your new delivery does it have anything to do with forced induction?????

Re: Blinded by the lights
An excellent mod, and as such I have moved it to the mods section!
I changed the bulb in Smudge to an LED array, but rather than bright white I've got a blue/purple kind of light, not quite UV but looks good at night when I unlock the car!
Oh yes, and I can still see stuff...

Re: Blinded by the lights
Thanks Rich, I was on pc and netbook at same time last night and confused myself thats why I posted in wrong area
I actually haven't tried them at night, just in the garage and with the garage lights on and they deffinately brighten up the interior, its almost as if there are 2 search lights on looking for escaped convicts
The forced induction is already in the garage, both of them lol one of them is going in the TF and the other, well thats just a spare
oh, what was the film as I can remember the line but can't think what film and I hate it when that happens as it bugs me for days and days. and please don't make me wait to find out what it is just for fun

Gremlins, something I hope doesn't effect the car too often.

Don't worry... I actually restructured that section after you had posted, as it didn't really fit with the general styling section I'd moved it to anyway... The forum just doesn't stop with constant evolution!Matt Parker wrote:Thanks Rich, I was on pc and netbook at same time last night and confused myself thats why I posted in wrong area
Or a hoard of nanobots attacking!Matt Parker wrote:... its almost as if there are 2 search lights on looking for escaped convicts

Now I know you're not paying attention...
I did it a while back and used it on your welcome thread... Have a look here! It's at the bottom of the fifth page of smilies if you want to use it... and I'm sure you will now!
