droning noise - wheel brg?

All,
May have found the source of the 'droning' sound I've acquired over the last few months - garage reckon a bit more play than normal in nsr wheel bearing. quite minimal play though, but can't see much else it could be with current symptoms - booms constantly at anything above 30-40 mph, even with engine off (don't ask!)

has anyone heard of other F brgs going at 50k mls? is nsr going first anything to do with roundabouts? once they start to go, do they get noisier before it is terminal?

slightly annoying thing is I to tend drive the f like a timid nun most of the time - other than roundabouts! my other car I give a lot more stick with fewer problems at 160k mls.

in the meantime i'll keep cranking up the tunes...

I have had 3 x new wheel bearings/flange over the last couple of weeks! First one (OSR) was through normal wear and tear. I killed both the NS ones at the airfield the other week by constantly sliding on that side of the car.... It might get noisier, but the handling will become very scary!
