Renault World Series, Silverstone - 20th/21st August 2011

Last year a group of us from .org (including Lee and Adrian) went to the Renault world Series weekend at Silverstone and have just got tickets for this year (20/21 August).

Tickets are free and was a great event so well worth coming.

Ordered mine too. Not so keen on Renaults but it's a day out and I love Silverstone!

I should have a few spare tickets, as I have ordered for my Scenic and daughters Clio.
Last year, it was in Setember, so it should be warmer in the tent this year.

Last year we had a real blast and a big convoy in......the racing is good too

Is everyone going both days for this? If not, which day is preferred? I haven't made my mind up as to whether to go one or both days and whether to camp over if some of you guys are too... Can't deal with these kind of decisions at this time on a Monday morning!!!!

Last year we convoyed in on the Saturday, quite a few people camped overnight and a few others went back the following day.

I may try to go both days this year but will go home for the comfort of my own bed Saturday night.

Just means I'll have to splurge a couple of hundred quid on camping gear

Sounds like what I might do. Not exactly far to travel and a couple of extra runs in the south Northants countryside sounds fine to me!

I have 4 tickets coming so 1 for me me, 1 for Iain and the other 2 spare at the moment. I plan on bringing a 4 man tent as that's the smallest we've got It's split into 2 different bedroom compartments if someone is short of a place to kip

As we did last year, a number of .org members are meeting at Jacks Hill cafe just north of Towcester at around 10am on the Saturday.

Should be a relatively central location for SmS members to congregate so we can all convoy in.

Any idea anyone just how many folk are camping at this meeting? We have a function to attend on the Satuarday evening which is now making it awkward to camp at Silverstone for us.

Hi All,

I am not going to Silverstone on Saturday so won't be at the cafe meet but will definitely be there Sunday.

I am going to leave home around 8 to 8:30 Sunday morning so don't know if there may be a small convoy on Sunday? Otherwise will hopefully bump into a few of you there.
