Re: MGFifteen - 1st August 2010
Bad news for the run I'm afraid guys... We only have five cars booked on it!
This is a big disappointment as it was a popular request from attendees last year. Seems everyone is either staying over the previous evening or just wants to head straight to the event... Shame, as our run is quite a nice country jaunt to start the day with!
Perhaps it's runs in general. The Brit-Cars Run has been very slow on take-up too...

You might still be able to register for the run. Either that or just tag along!

Hi Rich, just to let you know as I'm camping on Saturday (and likely to be drinking - a lot) I'm not going on the run as I'd have to be up early head out and head back, so I'll catch you guys there, who knows I might have a bacon sarny going spare...

Re: MGFifteen - 1st August 2010
You can still register with the Heritage Motor Centre for the runs to MGF15. I believe you can do this until next Friday, even though they will not then have enough time to send you out the tickets?bomber harris wrote:thats a shame, i would of liked to come along
As Rich said, we are more than a little surprised how little take up we have had with the runs when they were asked for last year. There are still a few more applications coming in I believe and I will try to get confirmation on Monday of numbers again but the numbers are no way of what we hoped or expected.

ok i'll watch this space, can you pay at the gate to get in, i know it maybe a bit more expensive doing it that way, but i'll be worried i don't get my tickets on time.

Notice my name is not on the list even though I said I was coming to the show

Re: MGFifteen - 1st August 2010
Sorry Iain, I rather neglected the list as I wasn't sure what was happening. It's turned out that everyone is doing their own thing really so it wasn't worth putting names down. Anyone who was offering to help contacted the F Register directly I think, and it's just me doing the road run. I've take the list off completely now.

You can pay on the gate on the day at the normal museum entrance price.bomber harris wrote:

I might not even have the car by then as I've got someone coming to view it tomorrow...! So probably a good job I'm not committed to anything show-wise.

Trouble is Rich I'm having cold feet already...
Despite the fact selling the Zed would allow me to get an Elise (not straight away, but in a few months I'd have one!), there's just something about that car.
We'll see what comes of it tomorrow-looking on Autotrader I undervalued the car originally (examples with double the mileage and no doubt poorer condition are now fetching £3750-£4000), so when I see the chap tomorrow I'll tell him my valuation has changed. Ten grand should do it...

Re: MGFifteen - 1st August 2010
Hi Rich
What time are we leaving J15a for the run?
I thought I had seen somewhere in the thread that we set of 10:30 but then I think the MG15 web site says the cars from the runs will form a cavalcade at Gaydon at 10:30 so maybe I was getting confused
Cheers
Steve

Ticket For Gaydon and free seat
Hi Stu,BlueStu wrote:All depends on having a mgtf to drive as im not turning up in a megane!!
If you are still interested in Gaydon, I am booked onto the run but my "navigator" has bailed out on me so I have a free seat and a ticket for Gaydon.
Downside is you have to suffer my company on the journey!
Steve
PS
If Stu cannot do, the offer is open to anyone. If you just want the ticket and can pick it up from J15a at the start of the run, or Olney beforehand that is ok too

Re: MGFifteen - 1st August 2010
I think that would be a little late... We're supposed to be at the venue by 10am!StevePem wrote:What time are we leaving J15a for the run?

Keith sent out a letter to all those on the run and on it he has put 8am as the time to arrive for signing in with a planned 8.30am departure.
We have a grand total of 10 people on the run including me... and we're the highest subscribed run in at the moment! Also, as I'm unable to get over to pick up the rally plaques (I haven't got the time) and they aren't being sent out, I'm afraid everyone will have to pick up theirs at the event. A bit pointless I know, but that's just the way it's worked out. I might be able to knock up something temporary to shove in your windscreen...

Re: MGFifteen - 1st August 2010
Yes you can, but bookings are being take right up until Friday night and if your ticket hasn't arrived your name can be put on the gate I believe. So you could still join us at J15a for the run in!bomber harris wrote:can you pay at the gate to get in, i know it maybe a bit more expensive doing it that way, but i'll be worried i don't get my tickets on time.
Rich

@Iain,
Any chance of you joining our run now? It's all going to be F/TFs except for me! it would be nice driving in with a fellow tin-top! It's times like these when I wish Ollie was on the road still...

That's fine-I can join the run. Can I have an "Iain Proof" guide to how I sign up, where I pay my money and where we're meeting and what time?

When it says "Quote club membership number" I presume that means an MGCC membership number?
