Good Buy
Is this worth it to get my bonnet to match the rest of the car?

Re: Good Buy
Yours does match though Dave. I wouldn't bother spending money on something that doesn't need to be changed.

Would it not be cheaper to get re-sprayed??

Don't know mate, that's why I'm asking and I don't know if this EU rule about not using two pack will affect the colour matching if I get a respray

It's the type of paint used before 1 Jan 08 It came in two packs. I think one was a hardener is that right Rich/Stu?

I have a mate who owns Custom Paintwerx, he is doing my wheel refurb on Friday. He usually doesn't worry about stuff like laws and regulations when it comes to custom paints if he could get the paint I'm sure he would do it! I could give you his card on sunday if you are going Wicksteed ?

Re: Good Buy
That's kind of you mate but I am going to Wales. And Mora's cousin is an MG restorer in the village next to me. He doesn't just do MGs but Rolls, Hillmans, Sunbeams, et al from before BLMC

Re: Good Buy
Dave, you might end up with a 3rd variant of trophy blue if you buy this! I wouldn't bother mate, as it really isn't that noticable on your car.

Re: Good Buy
It's definitely cheaper to respray it! But after taking a close look at your car, you would have to consider getting the front bumper done too as that is what stood out the most. Don't worry too much though because just about every MGF I've seen has a slight difference in the colour of the bumper to the bodywork - probably due to the way the paint takes to plastic and metal.
You could always speak to Lee & Debs' man at Illusion Race Paint. He matched my spoiler and grille perfectly and they were two different materials...

Re: Good Buy
Thank's Rich but I would use Terry who did the WolF's spoiler and splitter perfectly.
