A Good Morning's Work
Finally got to do some work on the F this weekend.A couple of bits on Saturday (hydragas and 4 wheel alignment done) then again on Sunday morning. Nick took the early shift with me at 9.30, and Ben joined us at about midday. This is what we managed in about 4 hours:
Remove old "holy" hood with good screen, take cracked screen out of "new and un-holy" hood, rivet good screen in and refit to car.
Replace broken bonnet stay clip.
Blown headlight bulb.
Rez pack for the fan as didn't have speed 1 - Ben's soldering skills and experience of sorting his own car came in very useful
Glovebox lock fixed.
Chrome washer jets fitted.
O/S door handle surround was "naggered" and had been held on with cable ties!!! Sprayed up a spare that Nick had lying around in his MG Parts & Accessories shop (!) and fitted that until i get a proper replacement.
A good start to proceedings i think, and it was just great to do some proper stuff with mates just like the old days! A great day

Sorted
Anytime mate. Though i may add being as the doorhandle was one out of left field you may find that quite often a mornings work turns into a slightly larger project

Nah, looked at it but they seem to be attached better than i thought. Maybe just sticky pads. For what they are worth though, i shall persevere with it when i have more time. Plus i don't want to come across all chavvy now do i? (cheeky git )

NO NO don't you know they are an essential accessory for checking we've got our hair straightening just right. Honestly Ray they aren't Burbury so don't stress (that and we've not got enough hair between us to straighten!)Lee121 wrote:Well done mate.....you got rid of those Chavvy mirror caps yet
