Two outa three aint good :-(
Those of you who attended the pub meeting last Thursday will know what I'm talking about already. For those who don't, I'm afraid Smudge is now parked up next to Ollie in the 'Needs some loving' line-up, as he has started showing the signs of a dreaded HGF.
Just as I was getting the pennies together to have Ollie cleaned up, this has to happen and steal them. Oh well, it could have been alot worse. Smudge is starting to leak coolant at the front edge of the cylinder head, but none has got into the oil. This means that no damage has been done and I've got away lightly. I'll still be changing the water pump and radiator though as a necessary precaution.
Watch this space...
In the meantime, Kate's 25 is getting a good workout. She's an amazing little car (yes, this one's female). Bearing in mind she's just a 1.4 K Series (same spec as a basic ZR) she's incredibly nippy around town, to and from work, and even up to Leeds at Christmas, and she's better on the fuel consumption too. But Kate will want her back soon, no doubt!

Sorry to hear of your trials Richard. You could of course buy a 'Propper' sports car and get
an early MGB ......ha.

Re: Two outa three aint good :-(
Thanks for your sympathy but after what my dad's previous MGBs have cost, I think I'll stick to the modern stuff... although a nice MGC Roadster wouldn't be so bad... as an addition to the collection of course. My current cars are staying!uk kiwis wrote:Sorry to hear of your trials Richard. You could of course buy a 'Propper' sports car and get
