Shocked My Airbag SRS light is playing up, it sometimes comes on when driving but the next time you stop and start the engine it goes out. Anyone have any ideas ? is this a common fault?

One of the common MGF/TF problems that may cause this is a loose connection on the seatbelt tensioners. They are yellow plugs that can be found under the seats on a wire that comes out of a hole in the carpet. Try wiggling the plugs a little or maybe disconnect and reconnect to see if that makes a difference. A word of warning though... If you're disconnecting any part of the SRS pack, it's recommended that you disconnect the battery first and leave it for the system to discharge. About 5 minutes will do the job, but many leave it for 10 just to be on the safe side.

If Rich's fix doesn't work try looking at the links at the foot of this page
