Why was the air intake pointing backwards
I have just spent over an hour to change a air filter on the TF, what a pain it is to remove all of the covers just to get a the filter, grr. I also pointed the air intake down to the left hand vent.....but why did MGR do that in the first place, I don't get why they put it inside the engine bay pointing the wrong way, what was their thinking?

Re: Why was the air intake pointing backwards
The reason its ducted to the rear of the engine bay is that its more consistant being there on all F/TF's which means there is less chance of an aior flow interuption if it were picking up form the side or anywhere that it would have more of a ram air effect.
Trophy 160, TF 135 and TF 160 have a larger air box with a twin air feed with the additional intake coming out the front of the box and then back round the side of the box where the ressornator box was located on F's (mems1.9 and 2J)
