Have had a real rubbish time tonight! All started when I left work to go post office as I missed the post! So had to pop to the main depo! Heard this high pitched noise! Then I pulled over and checked engine and the water in the coolent was empty!! and the dip-stick was milky and creamy I suspect Head Gasket!! So won;t be abe to meet you at the meet tomorrow eve Hope you all have a fantastic time!

Will keep you posted on what the garage say in the morning!

A friend on FB has already mentioned him! Well car still has 22 days warranty left so i'm hoping they are going to sort it! I will update tomorrow Thank you for your concern

So sorry to hear she's got HGF but it should be fixed under your warranty, just make sure they use the MLS gasket set and it should be fine after that.
Hope it's all sorted soon

I think that's why Cheryl is upset so much. The head gasket had already been done with a 'so called' uprated gasket being used. I can only think the garage used a cheap one and not the correct MLS one. Still, hopefully she can insist on the correct one this time and avoid it happening again.

I had a similar situation with mine; an alleged MG "specialist" had fitted a multi-layer gasket, which was a cheap example. It lasted around 6,000 miles.

I've used genuine Rover parts now so hopefully it won't be happening any time soon again! Who is doing your repair Aphrodite?
