Project 'Ollie'
For those of you who didn't know, I took Ollie off the road at the beginning of the month for essential maintenance. However, it's going to be a little more than that as unfortunately he's showing his age and the underlying work will take a little longer than just the winter period.
Therefore, I've started this thread to keep you all updated on what's happening, and so you know I do still own an MG!
Problems which need to be addressed first are:
I'll get some pics up as things progress but don't expect anything really exciting for a while as finances will mean little steps at a time, bearing in mind that I'm doing essential maintenance - and some non-essential but fun nonetheless mods - to Smudge too.
Keep watching!

Problems which need to be addressed first are:
- Passenger door lock disengaged so the door can open again!
- Underfloor de-rusting and underseal treatment
- Full brake system overhaul and revamp
- Body rust treatment
- Hood adjustment to stop leaks on passenger side - He's not in a garage!
I'll get some pics up as things progress but don't expect anything really exciting for a while as finances will mean little steps at a time, bearing in mind that I'm doing essential maintenance - and some non-essential but fun nonetheless mods - to Smudge too.
Keep watching!

Re: Project 'Ollie'
A very kind offer from you both but I want to make this a long term 'do-it-myself' project concentrating on certain areas at a time. As yet I don't have an agenda. It might even lead to the purchase of a donor car where I'll combine the best bits from each. I'll decide the best path to go as I deal with each problem. This is a proper project and not just a 'get ollie back on the road' session...
But I know where you guys are if I get stuck...!
