If I can find a ZT-T by then I'd come to the MG Saloon Day. Especially as it is in a Railway Station

A ZT-T.... I assume you're after a 260 in trophy blue to match Scotian wolf II ...long time no post, how are things going?

Hi Nick
Things are going better now. Lost my enthusiasm for a while but got it back when the Boss said I could get a ZT-T and keep the Trophy. I'm afraid I won't be going for a 260 but have my eye on a petrol blue 190 and a red 180 Sports Auto.
The ZT-T will let me drive an MG and take the dogs with me if Moira is on shift. I wonder how the dogs will react to a steam engine tho'
I'm really looking forward to this meet, I enjoyed last year's immensley. Also looking forward to seeing everyone again and joining Neil's Z Register.
And Dave, long may it stay out as long as I have air con in the new Bus and can keep dropping the hood in the F

Re: MG Saloon Day - 19th July 2009
Ooh lucky man, you get 2 MGs. I rather like the sound of the 180 auto, not enough red ZT-Ts around. Any idea when you might have it by?

Re: MG Saloon Day - 19th July 2009
The only problem with the red one is that it is a flat (non metallic) colour But I hope to be in one by next weekend

Bright Red is a nice colour

Re: MG Saloon Day - 19th July 2009
I was atually overtaken by a red ZT-T yesterday, all polished up and looking beautiful. It just shows how a non-metallic colour can be made to look incredible with a little love and attention...

OK... Convoy...
Can I suggest meeting at Sixfields Cinema car park at 8.30am? That should give us good time for the trip and allow us to set up our stand.
I'm not sure who has paid in advance, if any, but they say on their website that only prepaid entrants are allowed in before 10am. I'm sure, as we are a displaying club, that this can be waived fo us!
I would like to just ask everyone who is planning to come to make sure their names are on the list.

Morning Guys
Sorry but I'm not gonna be able to make this in the morning! I am hoping to be able to pop over in the afternoon though!
The better half wants to sort a few bits out before we go away again at the end of the month and seeing as i put her off last week for MGLive it looks like it's gonna be this sunday instead.
Cheers

Re: MG Saloon Day - 19th July 2009
What a lovely sedate day out that was A lovely drive up, good company - nice to meet Neil again - nice old railway station and a good drive back.
The venue had potential but wasn't exploited enough (no coffee or burger van) and a 400 yard plus walk to the station cafe
Good job we didn't buy tickets for the train journey as it was pulled by a diesel
Piccies are here https://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t203/mrmedox/MG%20Saloon%20Day%202009/
but I must post this one of Phil's new blue F
and our new club gazeebo

Re: MG Saloon Day - 19th July 2009
Great pics Dave... Now HERE are my additions!
Not a bad day and the weather could have been alot worse. Very disappointed with the venue, in the middle of nowhere, grass that would polish your exhaust even in a Land Rover, and not as close to the railway as the advertising would have you believe. However, we turned it round with enjoyable natters and caught up with other friends.
I think Neil shot off early but he stayed longer than he originally said! And Seb? Nowhere to be seen...
