Boot Release
Has anyone fitted one of the ebay kits, i want to find a switch that will fit next to my fog lights and i only want to be able to open the boot once the keys are in the ignition, so i may take the power from the lighter, but if possible have its own fuse. i have seen a few how to's but they all make it look rather confusing.
help! lol

Re: Boot Release
not done one of them but I lone rich is the best for advice on that
Another idea would be a release that's conceiled somewhere only you know about

Re: Boot Release
The best method is the mountain bike brake cable one... easy to fit and never breaks down! But if you really fancy an electric boot release, it's best to hide the switch completely. Many people put it in the cubby box under the armrest. I'm happy to help if you want the wiring sorted out...

Won't you be kicking yourself if you lock your keys in the boot if it's wired it so it only works with keys in the ignition? That would REALLY REALLY wind me up!!

Re: Boot Release
Excellent point, and another plus of using the hidden cable method... Although you could still end up setting off the alarm!dressur wrote:Won't you be kicking yourself if you lock your keys in the boot if it's wired it so it only works with keys in the ignition?

Re: Boot Release
Well if you can make it to the Oxon meeting on 1st Feb, we'll have a chat about it. I can help with both methods and we can discuss what would best suit you.
