Bond.....Yes we have seen the latest QOS movie, must say after all the hype I expected a real 'burner' I guess it was ok with the usual action but....
I found it less than satisfying.
Too much 'M' (JUDY Dench) for my liking and 'cut on action' editing positively annoying. The opening scene with the Aston a real dizzying experience. The boat chase was just a blur of water and boats with bullets missing the target with ease.
The music accompaning the titles, well! orrible! The James Bond 'somethings going to happen' theme music did not appear until the final credits. I really missed it.
The story line that the main villain was hording water, well who would believe that?
No, can't say it turned me on much.
Not enough 'Kiss kiss bang bang as the Japanese say.
Daniel Craig makes a very good Bond though, he is good looking enough to attract many more 'real honey's' than he does in this film, I missed them too!
Quite forgettable.

I did give that some thought. The post would let you into the plot some what. Best not to read if you hav'nt seen the film. Lets know what you think when you have seen it?

Having been warned by Dave I haven't read most of the other posts in this thread as off to Bond tonight.
However, I haven't been on for a while because the dogs have had my attention.

Somehow I didnt make it to the cinema last night, there seemed to ba a strange gravitational pull to the Black Bull in Towcester so we didnt escape it till gone one o'clock....maybe I'll see it next week

We've got Casino Royale on Blu-Ray - excellent film (Aston write-offs excluded) - and I'm going to wait for Quantum rather than going to the cinema. I really don't enjoy going to the flicks any more. Kate always falls asleep, there's always a fidget or loudmouth somewhere close and it's just stupid money. If you wait for a few months, you can own the film for the same cost as watching it! That's why I invested in some decent home kit (it's my other big hobby). You can stop it when you need to restock on drink/popcorn/maltesers and when your bladder is bursting! We have dimmed lighting, black-out curtains and even an illuminous Fire Exit sign!Seb wrote:I watched Casino Royale on Sky in the week i felt sick when he rolled that Aston Martin DBS!!! what a waste they could've given it to me instead!!
Anyhow, what was this topic about again?

I agree Paul. It was a good film but very short compared to Casino Royale. The problem with it being short meant that we didn't get enough acting from Daniel Craig. I think he is good, especially when being sardonic.
I hope we get more of him in the next one although it was good to get more of Judy Dench and I look forward to seeing her relationship as M develop with Bond.
