4 Year Service - ZS 180
OK, KITT is due for a service. The four year one is quite a major job (even if your car has only covered 8k ). Any suggestions for Bucks? I have rung Priests in Chesham (from whom I bought the car and now a Ford dealer). They are quite good, but seem a bit pricey. Brown & Gammons - heard goods things about them, but wouldn't mind a second opinion. And SMC High Wycombe, not sure about them either?
Thanks
Neil

Re: 4 Year Service - ZS 180
Just to up date this thread.
I got KITT serviced yesterday at Beech Hill Garage, near Reading. They have worked on MGs since 1979 and are listed by both the MGCC and the MGOC (5 spanners) and are an XPart Auto Service Centre. Their 'modern MG' technician has only worked on MGs and Rovers since his apprenticeship.
I have to say they did a good job and are very professional and customer focused.

I've heard some other good reviews about Beech Hill. Glad you are happy with them.

Great stuff. So it's not all bad news for SmSers this week then. Although with the care and attention you give your car, I'd be extremely surprised if it didn't pass...Matto 180 wrote:KITT also passed the MoT on Monday

Lots of salt spread around here
I aim to run Johanna around the block every fortnight or so to charge the battery.
But as you rightly say the roads need to be dry.

Don't forget it take approximately five miles to restore the charge used to start your car. The alternative is a battery conditioner, which I'm using with Ollie. It keeps the battery fully charged and healthy all the time. Definitely worth the small expense...darrenzs wrote:

It's okay Rich, I live in the fens and 'round the block' is best part of a ten mile round trip , it's finding a bridge to cross those darn rivers
