I started to fit the Mk2 centre console this evening and could i get the bl**dy heater knobs off....No!!

I have managed to get the fan speed one off but the other two feel like they are welded on! I am sure they should just pull off like the 1st one but they dont?

Is anyone aware of the trick?

needle nose pliers, covered with a rag/tissue etc.......

The needle nose pliers still slipped off! in the end the easiest way was to get two small stubby screw drivers and lever them back behind the two lips of the long straight bit on the switch!

Maxi - have you got new Fog Light switches? The wire harness plug doesnt fit in the Mk2 switches??? does anyone out there no why not???

I used a bit of wire, wrapped it around the knob and pulled really hard. They came eventually.

I'm skint, so I cancelled it! lol (Not all that bothered anyway. His shoes wasn't up to spec at the weekend, so I doubt they would have been tonight either lol)

I've got blanks for the fogs. Going to get all the parts together over the weekend and fit it.
