Urgent help needed

Know its a lot to ask it being the season of goodwill and all that ... Is there anyone who can lend a hand to fit an alternator to frasers eff between Xmas and new year?
Bit beyond my meagre skillset

My experience of changing an alternator on an MGF wasn't a good one. Is the car driveable still? Is the battery charged at the moment?
