Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
Hmmm Just seen this but my only question would be the great British weather, as silverstone isn't until october, & having lived through monsoon silverstone in july i,m not sure i'd like to add cold to camping as well . I'd still add a vote for oulton in june but happy to go with the majority. Be a good catch up which ever.

I don't think many people camp at Silverstone for the BTCC. It's close enough to drive both days if anyone wants to go to practice as well as race day.

Oulton park in June is still on the plans for me mate, I was kinda looking at the Silvertone race as a 'bonus'. I also fancy going to the Rockingham race as well, it's meant to be a good for spectators...this could be the year of the BTCC for me at this rate! gives us a good chance to catch up too buddy.

There's also the point that Silverstone and Rockingham are in our region!
Ripe for promotion and a club stand at both if allowed...

Is that a polite way of saying (repeat in best texan drawl) 'your not from round here are you boy!'

Nah, of course not! I treat all 'outsiders' as equals...Benjs wrote:Rich

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
So, who's up for the 'various' meetings then?
I've tried to put names in based on what's already been suggested/approved on this thread. Please correct me if you're missing or down on an incorrect list!

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
I'm up for Silverstone in October-Brands Hatch is a great spectator circuit and also not a million miles away.

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
I don't think we'll make Donington as it's the day after PoL, but hope to be camping at Oulton Park.

Might be for some, but which Brands dates were you interested in? First, last or both? Having your name down might encourage others to join you!Captain Slow wrote:Brands Hatch is a great spectator circuit and also not a million miles away.
Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
You can put me down as an either Rockingham or Silverstone (october) & i guess unless i'm going to be Billy no mates you could knock Thruxton off.

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
Yup, booked the day off work and going. Just waiting for some more details which I think Tony is looking into regarding when we are allowed in and I'll post them here. I reckon it'll be a great day and I'm really looking forward to it.
Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
Would be interested in media day also a couple of others depending on being available to go...

If you let me know which ones you're interested in, I'll put your names on the list. We'll base each decision on who is interested in which.uk kiwis wrote:

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
iirc from previous years, the public are allowed in from about 1pm. Still trying to confirm the actual time for this year but if in the absence of further information that would be a good time to meet in the car park.

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
Latest information suggests it's 12.30 that the public will be allowed in. They will most likely be using the old pit complex.
