Some good pictures on .org already.
There is one of Nick's green circles.
Got home 04:50, with pictures of the London Eye and Buckingham Palace etc!

Re: Friends Round London - 25th February 2012
Great run this year Lee will be putting my sponsership money on just giving page tonight.
Feel sorry for the guy who broke down on m25 and had 100 mgs driving past
At least it was none of us,as far as i know everyone made it round this year
It was mentioned that there should be some kind of entertainment at south mimms next year................its virtually an mg fest at night now

Re: Friends Round London - 25th February 2012
For those who don't frequent .org and haven't heard the news, several people have received parking fines from South Mimms services for staying over 2 hours without a ticket. After some research by a few, there is no need to panic as these 'fines' are not enforceable. Some have suggested writing to the company and others have said ignore them. Their threats are empty and they're just scaremongering.
If you wish to read all the comments, please have a look HERE.
The main thing is, don't let this annoyance ruin what was one of the best ever events we've taken part in. We're doing it all again next year and hope to have much more going on too!

Re: Friends Round London - 25th February 2012
That sucks, especially as it is a charity event. I hope you're right about them being unenforceable.
I notice a lot of people suggesting a change to the meeting point due to the traffic lights at South Mimms and offering alternatives that are either completely unsuitable or would result in the there effectively being two events doing the same thing that would only overlap for a third of the route.
If the start point was to be changed, there could be a better alternative...
At junction 22 (one west of South Mimms) there is a large retail park with a Sainsburys. There are two small roundabouts to get out of the retail park, and one large on to get onto the M25 and; according to google street view; no traffic lights! The Sainsburys is open until midnight on Saturdays and has a restaurant and coffee shop, plus there's a McDonalds nearby.

Of course if Lee decides to stick with South Mimms, that's fine by me too.
A second suggestion. The Dartford tunnel is free from 10pm onwards, we didn't get there untill after midnight this year so we could start a bit earlier reducing the amount of time spent hanging around at the meeting point without incurring the toll charge and allowing people to get home earlier. I'm sure there are a few people put off by not getting home untill silly o'clock on Sunday morning.
