Chris Evans' CarFest - 25th & 26th August 2012

Chris Evans has now launched the CarFest website and we've expressed an interest in taking the Southmids Sportsters stand along with a selection of members' cars. The event is supporting the BBC's Children In Need charity and will be huge!

Have a look at the website HERE for details of location, ticket prices, etc. It's quite expensive but I've sent an email to see if we can get a bulk discount for the club.

If you're interested in a weekend away in sunny Hampshire, please add your name to the thread in the usual fashion!

If there is no group discount, I also think it is too dear, especially for under 16s paying adult prices. So I'm out.

Which day would you go? I'm interested in the music too and there are good bands on both days...

I would have but I'm not paying £85 for the weekend...!

Did not check the prices myself, having now done so am afraid it is too much for me......

Add fuel and food and you are looking at £200 or above, if it was a bit closer maybe go one day, I would rather spend the money at Silverstone, plenty of motorsport during the season there. Then there is Goodwood festival, well worth going to. Think Chis E maybe struggling to cover costs and wonder just how big the crowd will be in these tough times.
