It appears that my car is not well. When it had it's head repaired a couple of years ago and they put the head back together, they got the timing wrong. Lets just hope that when the head is inspected nothing has been bent!!!

Touch wood it should be much faster when it's sorted Very Happy

Colin, I have good news for you... Before I left today, Martin had your car running. And it was a smooth as a smooth thing! He's just got to finish the other stuff you wanted him to do and you'll have a lovely fast car. You'll probably notice more of a difference than any of us!

Colin
That TF sounded a lot better.
Take care with the loud pedal, when you get it back on the road.

Whereabouts are you going to be at around 5pm? I could possibly pick you up and bring you back here if Martin could wait for us...

Rich, what time do you think Martin would stay until on a weekday?

Col, I could pick you up and take you Mon or Tue evening, depending what time Martin will stay to.

I work at Shenley Pavillions so not too far from your place, or i can pick you up from Stony, but then you have to still get two cars home.

Thanks for the offer of lifts etc, I'm going to go over on Saturday to pick it up. It should be very interesting to see the performance difference, also Martin replaced the roll pin in the gear change mech, by all accounts I had a sloppy change Shocked

I picked the car up from Martin yesterday and it's all sorted. The engine feels much sharper and now pulls strongly upto 7.5K Very Happy

I would now say it's quicker that the Nos monster was with out NOS and if you keep the rev's up not much slower than it was with NOS.

I must say Martin seems to be a good guy and I would use him again.
