Not long to go...

Well i took the day off and spent hours clearing the garage, hanging stuff from hooks, taking a car full to the tip, moving stuff that i've meant to get rid of on eBay for months. All this is preparation and anticipation of the arrival of 'Vader'. All being well, i should pick him up tomorrow, worst case scenario over the weekend, but as the weather has been so amazing i really am praying it's tomorrow. I've been getting more excited each day since making the decision to buy and enter the world of 'F'ing, spending hours browsing the forums and making mental notes of stuff i want to do, and in some cases NEED to do.
Anyway, i must say thankyou to Nick and Ben firstly for giving my potential purchase the once over and assuring me it's a decent car, and secondly for all the help they are giving me to get a few things sorted quickly and the enthusiasm they have about doing it - it's a reminder why they have been my best friends for over 20 years!!!
It was great meeting alot of you SmS guys a couple of weeks ago, and i'm looking forward to seeing you at the next meet in May, with my own car this time!
Anyhow, fingers crossed and wish me luck... hopefully Thursday is Trophy Day

That'll be the fourth one then! Would have been five but the red Trophy belonging to Simon and Ann Young has been sold on, not that we've seen them at an SmS meeting for a couple of years anyway!

Hi, Gutted of Daventry here. Well some bad news and some good news. The bad news is that i didnt pick up the Trophy today, as it failed its MOT on the rear brakes & pipes. Itll be ready next Wednesday (because of the bank holidays) so i wont be able to get it til then at the earliest Trying to look on the bright side, i get new rear brake pipes, discs & pads without it costing me anything. I just hope this good weather is around next weekend as well, mind you, i'd drive it with the top down even if it was cold and raining so long as it's a good road and i can enjoy it.
Anyway, i should still have it for the next meet
