roof with glass rear screen
Hi
I'm looking for a replacement roof with a glass rear screen that will work with Mike Satur hoops. It's a pain trying to unzip the roof with the hoops in the way.
I know I can just go a buy a new one, but unfourtunatly Mr Inland revenue and just take my money and left kidney.
So if any one see one please give me a shout.

Hi Colin,
Kidneys are overated, one is more than enough for anyone! Having only one could cause a shortfall when it comes to next years tax though!
I would have thought any of the glass screen hoods would work ok as it folds down behind the hoops, you may have to guide the glass down rather than just unclipping and chucking the hood down behind you head.
Will keep an eye out - if your hood is in decent condition maybe worth having a glass screen fitted - about £200 I think.
Cheers
Steve

HiColin,
I've got the MGR glass screen and Mike satur boxer hoops and they fold down fine, my mate Mike has boxer mk1 hoops and a BAS glass screened hood, that folds fine with the hoops too, thought it seems to sit a bit higher when folded.
Its the xpower hoops that seem to have issues with glass screens as they sit further back

Re: roof with glass rear screen
The BAS screen is lower than MGR ones so it does make the back of the hood stick up slightly when folded down but should also give you slightly more clearance than MGR screen due to being lower but either shouldn't be a problem with roll hoops.
I only unzip my screen when I have the roof down so a long time in the summer or when the the hard top goes on, although I haven't used the hard top for afew years since I pulled the seals off it
