I'm gettting abit of a problem with the door windows not sealing with the roof properly. This is leading to little dribbles coming in the cabin.

Does anyone know of anybody thats good at sorting that sort of thing out??????

Yes, there is definitely a knack to doing it. I spent so long trying to get mine right, I drained the battery from opening and closing the windows so many times and still did not get it right. MGF Centre quoted me (up to) £47 per door and it is a bit of a treck over there, would be good to find someone local.

If your seals are ok and not collapsed then you just need to adjust(tweak) the angle of the window, takes me just afew mins but thats because I've done them afew times so i know what needs doing where Smile

Does your window sit flush with the mirror cheetah when done up(with door open) or does it stick past? You may need to adjust the stops(or replace if badly worn/broken) and then adjust the guides and rear stop bracket.

Hi Matt,

Perhaps you could run a "window alignment clinic" when you can fit it in, I bet others have similar problems.

My passenger side window is not too bad other than it needs the stops adjusting again so will probably have another go at that myself when we have a nice weekend. The drivers side I just can't seem to get lined up properly and now the window is also loose and rattles so I think something has become disconnected or at least worked loose. The rear edge in particular does not tuck into the rubber seal to the same degree that the passenger side does no matter what adjustments I try. Maybe it is the hood that needs adjusting?

Again, I will have another go and see if I can get it better, as I said in the last post, I drained the battery last time I tried and I just put the door back together, recharged the battery and left it.

Cheers
Steve

no problems Colin, if you let me know in advance before the meet if you want me to have a look so I can try and remember my tools Smile

lol, I can do alot more than simple window alignment Smile and everyone keeps telling me to set up my own business but its not that simple so have to wait Smile

If the glass is sticking out/up more at the rear then the first thing you need to check is if the glass if going up too far, way to check this is if you look at the bottom rear of the glass you have the 'MG' and 'SRS' symbols, these should be nice and level(parallel) with the top edge of the door and most likely you will have these on a slight angle being higher at the rear. If so then you need to start adjustment by lowering the stop and the reg at the back first, then fiddle with the fronts to get the angle you require.
