Pub meet in Bucks - Oct/Nov 2010 - CANCELLED AGAIN!

Yay! Regional meets are back this month... Rescheduled from October for reasons given later in this thread

I thought we may as well return to the venue Lee suggested September last year. Not too far out but a nice drive...



The Folly is on the A413 Buckingham Road between Buckingham and Padbury. The postcode is MK18 2HS (for your SatNav). Have a look at their website HERE.

We can do a little convoy, meeting up at the Travelodge, Old Stratford (just off the A5 roundabout), at around 11.15am.

I'm always sending PMs to members in our patch but don't get much response. Rather disappointing as I include all the models too. Perhaps there just isn't the call for pub meets these days, except for the die-hard true enthusiasts. We used to pull in 15-20 cars every regional meet when we started and that was only four years ago. Perhaps it's just people saving their pennies in this dodgy economic climate...

Sorry to do this at the last minute but I have been knocked out by this viral infection and been in bed for the last four days. I completely lost track the days and just realised it is Saturday evening.

Finding it dificult to stand up for more than 30 seconds, letalone drive anywhere.

I am hoping this is as bad as it gets but every day seems a little worse so far - Doc says it can last between 10 days and three weeks!!!!

Well with the cancellations and a grim weather forecast, I think we're better calling this one off. We can try again next month, and will keep to this venue.

Well guys, at this point it's looking like the whole thing may be called off completely... The general consensus amongst the regulars is to stick with the 'local' meets and leave the regionals to an adhoc arrangement in the new year. So unless there's a sudden influx of last minute wannabe attendees, I'm afraid we'll be abandoning this one
