Toyo T1-Rs Empty Toyo T1-Rs

Well I finally have got rid of my slippy rear tyres and have replaced with Toyo T1-Rs to match the front.

Only change is Toyo arent making the 215 40 16s any more so I've moved them from the front to the back and had 195 45 16 put on the front.

I have to say a great change and really happy with the result, and it's nice to have matching tread patterns all round. Very Happy

Interesting to hear you are all choosing Toyos. I used them on my silver F and though the ywere OK but tried them on the Trophy and they were absolutely ****. I went to Tyres Northampton on the recommendation of Clifton Lane and fitted four Continentals on the advice of the manager there and they are absolutely brilliant.

I wouldn't touch Toyos again.

Cheers

I agree with Dave! I've got Continental Premium Contacts all round and they're a great tyre, even in the wet. MGR fitted them as standard on the last British TFs after much testing of various different brands and types. Just wish they were a little cheaper...

In all fairness B&G still have some in but they're nearly £90 a corner, I've rung six or seven dealers tried camskill, blackcircles, mytyres etc and all of them said that they arent showing on the system and there is no future delivery date.

So if your after them then B&G is a good idea, but at that price you can get Eagle GSD2s...

I love my GSD2's, I think they are a lot more grippy than the toyo's but each person has there own preference,.....I'm still waiting for someone to stick a full set of Toyo R888's on to see what the handling is like in dry and in the wet Shocked !

Hi seb long time no speak!

Unfortunately Toyo dont do the R888s in 215, the closest they have is 205 section, which I'm sure would be great in the dry, but I'd hate to try 'em in the wet.

I bknow I have been a busy man! we will catch up on sunday!

Oh i thought they did do them as when searching ebay for some new tyres a while back i thought i found a set! I know yokohama do a similar style of tyre but not sure if the size is correct! It would be fun to try and drive them in the wet! just for the experience! Very Happy
