Afternoon All,

Just got back...I've hooked myself up with a 52mm TB. They sorted me out a good price when i mentioned Rich and Stewarts name! Laughing

Stew - I can see why you got a few looks driving that TF with the electric blue roof, it looks the business! How are them raffle tickets coming along? the Taipan cold air induction looks rude! I had a little look at the one on the shelf!

Well remembered Dave, I forgot it was Stoneleigh next weekend!

Cheers

Nice one Seb, hope you haven't come back with a long list of items that will now empty your bank account!

Just in case people aren't aware, the MGF Centre won't be at Stoneleigh this year. Victoria has decided to only do stoneliegh every other year. However, there will be plenty of other traders, and of course there will be both the F Register and for the first time the Zed Register with stands next to each other, so do come along and visit us. I spent today gettting the carpet cut to the right size for both stands, it's blooming awkward trying to find somewhere dry for me to lay out 160 sqm of carpet for me to cut it!

Oh dear oh dear I did come back with a list!

As I havent been to Stoneleigh before, does anyone know if you can buy 2nd hand/used windscreens? When driving up the M6 on saturday, the car in front kicked up a lovely stone and put a lovely chip in my windscreen (too big to be doctored)

To be honest I'd get bhe screen done on your insurance your excess should only be about £50, it's way cheaper than buying a screen and getting someone to fit it.
I had to replace my wifes screen, (big crack in it - my fault - long story involving a TV being taken to the tip!).
Anyway I rang direct line who hooked me up with autowindscreens who came to my house and replaced the screen in about an hour and a half, the guy didnt even want a cuppa...£50 all in.
Worth checking your insurance.

Yeah I was contemplating insurance but thought i might be able to do it for less than £50 myself?... I need to check out the excess on my policy. I have protected no claims so it wont effect my bonus either!

A windscreen claim doesnt affect your no claims bonus thankfully

The cheapest new MGF screen I've seen on ebay was £125 and you'd have to pay for fitting on top of that. The screen is a structural stressed part on the F so it's really not worth messing about DIYing it IMHO.

Sorry you've got the addiitonal expense though, it's never good.

Oh by the way I have those shiny grilles and that 'custom' (read DIY'd) rear speaker T-bar in the boot of my car, I'll bring it along to Billing on Thursday if you still want them gratis, TBH I need the room back in the garage!

Same as before... 7.30pm! Kate & I may be slightly late as we've got an appointment just before, so keep us space spare on the sofa!
