I should explain that I would be there apart from the probability of having to drive to Aberystwyth to do a one hour interview for my dissertation

That's fine Saffie. I didn't expect you to travel all the way from Oxfordshire at some unearthly hour of the morning!

Ok guys. We will be there very early in the morning as there has been a last minute f*ck up with my race suit. My suit will be arriving direct at gaydon on a pre 10am delivery and so I want to be there early just in case, but it may also mean that we won't be leaving gaydon until it arrives! I'll put up the F-Reg flag as well, but you might only see Kathryn in her gear unless my suit is there!
Look forward to seeing those of you that can make it.

Well, after a delayed start whilst the stig's robes were en route to Gaydon, Team Stig finally kicked off on their weekend adventure. Keith Williams, Dave D, Kate & myself were there to witness the roar as Stewart & Kathryn roared out of the musuem's car park to head for their first waypoint... Corley Services on the M6!
Here are a few pics from the send-off:
Keith got to Gaydon a little earlier and managed to catch some of the other entrants on camera. Have a look here.
Once the run is over, I'll tell you the 'longest carrot' tale...
For full details of their journey so far, along with some pics and vids from along the way (all thanks to the clever trickery of GPS tracking), have a look at the Team Stig website here.
And don't forget to make a donation. That's what this is all about!

The Result
What happened then? Everything has gone quiet. Are they back? Who won? Nothing on the Forum, nothing on the Team Stig web site. I go away for a weekend and everything stops!
C'mon then!!!

Well - they're still alive - because I've spoken to both of them! I think they're both a bit knackered!!

Sorry guys, I have had a lot on, and still have to finish writing the article about it all for MG Enthusiast! The final result was...... we came 6th! We did really well, but should have won it, however due to the delay of setting off we missed out on doing three of the tasks. Had we not been late and completed just 2 of those 3, we would have won the whole event! Oh well..... Will make sure I have the outfits in time for next year!
I'll give you the full run down on it all shortly, but we really enjoyed it and overall we have raised well over £700 for the Air Ambulance, so we are really happy about that.
Thanks for all of your support.

Oh yeah, a huge thankyou to Rich for getting us a carrot. We actually had the longest carrot of the day! It didn't look that long but it had a very thin root attached to it still and when stretched out the overall length was 54cm!!!! We got to knock off 54 points (the equivalent to 27 miles) from our point score of the day!
Nice one Rich...
