Good on you ali, it'll brighten up the interior no-end nothing like a bit of black carbon fibre to break up the acres of black plasti... oh umm.
I'm sure it'll look brilliant. I am a little concerned that you've gone 'uber' chav with this, hasn't Stu got carbon fibre interior bits as well???? he's top position charcoal chav, whereas I'm mid table with a 'tasteful' silver interior theme!

Stew hasn't finished fitting his - I'm going to get mine in before he does!
You're not the first to comment along those lines - one of my friends has just informed me that I already drive a hairdressers car - but the carbon fibre will make it a chav hairdressers car!

Try not to go too mad Ally. Your car is at the lower end of our 'Fest display, 'Charcoal to Chavness' and we don't want to have to just call it 'Chavness all the way'...!

I may not have fitted it by then - I opened the box, read the instructions and started feeling very tired!!
Don't you mean the higher end? I thought one descended into utter chavness!

Seriously I think the carbon effect dash will look great, I was going to do the same but ended up fitting the mk2 console instead.
I think it'll match nicely with the car as you are fortunate enough to have a beautifully coloured charcoal car...like me.

Re: First steps down a very chavvy road!!
I can't believe I've done this, but :-
App. counts due to 68000 made MGF until 2001
36,2% -green
18,8% -red
14,1% -blue
13,6% -silver
11,0% -black
2,7% -white
1,6% -volcano
0,5% -Mulberry
0,4% -Morello
Black includes the limited ed solid black and Charcoal, so I think you'll find that charcoal was the 5th most common colour for the F and as the other less common colours were insane (eg that morello colour etc) I think you will have to agree that Charcoal is the most 'exclusive' colour that isnt mental....fact
Not looking good for common old green is it?

Re: First steps down a very chavvy road!!
Ok, so here are the charts based on current full SmS members' car colours...
1= Greens ... 23.26% (includes BRG, Le Mans & Alumina)
1= Blues ... 23.26% (includes Tahiti, Trophy, Midnight & Mirage Monogram)
3 Greys ... 16.28% (Includes Charcoal & XPrimer)
4= Reds ... 11.63% (includes Solar, Signal & the dark one!)
4= Silvers ... 11.63% (All starlight I think)
6 Blacks ... 9.3% (includes... Black!)
Others ... 4.65% (includes Trophy Yellow & Ameranth)
(Based on 42 cars)
Make of these what you will but surprisingly the Greens and Blues win over the greys!

Re: First steps down a very chavvy road!!
I don't think that is fair bundling us with XPrimer, as our colours have had the top coat applied.... I would say that we are more 'black', and xprimer is just on it's own.... Making Xprimer so rare, because most people chose to have a proper colour applied on top!Rich Stone wrote:
