Removing the T-Bar Empty Removing the T-Bar

Post  StevePem 22/12/2012, 10:39 pm

I am going to take my windstop and fit to Ed's when I swap over the interior bits. I was thinking it may be easiest just to swap over the T-Bars to save me drilling new holes in Ed's and save having to plug holes in mine.

I can't find any "how to" on replacing the T-bar. I have had the T-bar unfastened before so no problem in general but what about the seat belts? If I onbolt the lower seat belt mountings will the mounting pass through the slots in the T-bar once the trim peices are removed where the belt passes through ther t-bar?

I was going to go and have a play today to see how it looked but as it is peeing down with rain I thought I would take the dry option and ask the experts Laughing

Thanks
Steve

Yup Steve, if you undo the lower seatbelt mounts they fit though the holes in the t-bar with a bit of twisting and turning to the right angle.

Thanks Nick

It seemed logical that would work but of course, logic is not always relevant with an MG Laughing
