Week of bad luck... continues
Take a week off to get a few days away in lincoln and give my car some TLC after all the journeys to work in the snow.................
first day head gasket goes(now fixed courtesy of russell) decided to go upto lincoln for the day,a journey of 250 miles roundtrip all ok(although was paranoid on the journey up checking fluids and stopped twice to be sure!).
Washed and polished car and today went to get hydrogas pumped up and wheel alignment adjusted.......
Now happy again thought i would stop off for a macdonalds before heading back from aylesbury...............went to start her up and you guessed it ...wouldnt start !!
Resorted to greenflag.....after much embarrassment at macdonalds alternator not charging battery and had to put it in a garage and hope its simple.....now carless again and back to work monday and only a week to go for F.R.L.

Gutted for you buddy. But to put thingsin perspective a mate of mine bought an Audi TT a month or so ago and within a week the alternator (which had been replaced 3 months earlier with a chinese copy) was on the fritz, it was draining 4 amps!. A new alternator and fitting at mates rates was over £500 it took 8 hours! as on the 3.2 you need to remove most of the front of the car, rad etc to gain access.
Hope you get it sorted, and whatever it could always be worse (my mates TT isnt even the convertable )
