New Spoiler
I have always found the Trophy rear spoiler a bit understated - so I finally decided a new one was required. A quick look at the MG parts bin and bought this one! Perfect fit and the right colour!! I know, I know - not going to be everyones cup of tea but then neither are the wheels!!

Re: New Spoiler
I found a pic of a body kitted F with the spopiler fitted the other months and thought the best part about the car was that the spoiler looked alright and not out of place fitted
Personnally I think its a bit too much on an F/TF but with the right modifications it can look at home

Not at all, it's a perfect fit!

Re: New Spoiler
Worst thing is trying to get off the remains of the double sided tape that was used!!

Re: New Spoiler
Ive been lucky everytime I take spoilers off as it always has stuck to the spoilers and not the boot lids Heat gun at low temp(hair dryer will do) and then rub it off with your finger, it can make your figners sore if you have office hands

Re: New Spoiler
I have to say it looks a tad too large and overpowering for my tastes and think the best spoiler for a Trophy is a Trophy one! But that's just me and I do think that the execution of the job and the match is very good...
Re: New Spoiler
It looks like it fits quite well, but I think you would need a larger splitter on the front to balance the look out.

Re: New Spoiler
I think the ZS hatch spoiler would have been better, as has been discussed on this very forum before! Not quite so large and the curves actually go well with the MGF/TF bodywork.
Not really much you can do with the front end to balance it. It's already got the Trophy splitter. Anything else would ruin the lines.
All IMO of course...

Re: New Spoiler
what about the splitter I had on the NOS monster, that would work????

Re: New Spoiler
The KH splitter. I've seen them mounted on the underside of a Trophy splitter before and you can't really see much of it unless you move it right out forwards... and then it looks just plain daft! Also, it gives even less ground clearance and remembering that the Trophys sit lower anyway it becomes impractical...
Re: New Spoiler
But the ZS spoiler is too wide to fit directly on on the F/TF so you would need chop a bit out of the middle?Rich wrote:I think the ZS hatch spoiler would have been better, as has been discussed on this very forum before! Not quite so large and the curves actually go well with the MGF/TF bodywork.
Got my old ZS spoiler on ebay if anyone is interested :-)

Yeah I know... That's what we said before! But it's been done and it's not that difficult and the result is rather smart.StevePem wrote:But the ZS spoiler is too wide to fit directly on on the F/TF so you would need chop a bit out of the middle?
BTW We were talkining about the hatchback extreme spoiler and not the base model one.

Like you said, each to their own, I love the twin spoiler look and I am going to repair my old splitter and fit it on my dad's F under the trophy spoiler

Re: New Spoiler
That looks so evil I'm waiting for the fangs to appear in the bumper and bite into me not to my tastes but still very nice

Re: New Spoiler
Looks good, i think you can get away with it in trophy blue, somehow this colour lends itself to mods.
