Member status question
I'm a newbie here, and still finding my way around... I've probably missed something very obvious, but I have a question!
What's the difference between a 'Full Member' and a 'Supporter'? Are these two grades of membership and, if so, what are the benefits/costs?
I'm a lowly (ie cheapskate) Forum Member for the moment till I get a chance to come along to an event or something, but thought I'd ask so I know for when the time comes!
Edit: oops, I think I've managed to post this in the wrong section - sorry! Please move if necessary!

Re: Member status question
Click on the Home option at the top and then follow the link where it says 'Want to be an SmS Supporter?' underneath... or click HERE.

Re: Member status question
I'm confused too Rich? (Doesn't take much to confuse me )
I understand I am an affiliate member but what is one of those??
A registered user who occasionally attends events?

Re: Member status question
An affiliate member is someone who has joined the club from outside it's home area. Southmids Sportsters is a regional based club covering Northants, Bucks, North Oxon and Beds. As we started to attract people from outside these areas, the affiliate status was created rather than turning people away. However, the regional borders have blurred slightly so I suppose it's just a throwback to our early years...
Re: Member status question
Thanks I'd found that, but what I don't get is that there's also 'Full Member' listed in the forum footer. Is this somewhere in between? i.e. Supporter > Full Member > Forum MemberRich wrote:Click on the Home option at the top and then follow the link where it says 'Want to be an SmS Supporter?' underneath... or click HERE.

Or is it an old thing that's not used any more? Sorry to be a nuisance, I'm just curious!
Re: Member status question
That one's easy Dan... The full members are the regulars (but who have chosen not to subscribe, the stingy bunch!)
Anyhow, it doesn't really matter with regards to being a member what colour your name is. It's really only so others have a visual indication of where you come from, how often you visit and how much you love the club... The only difference is for the supporters who get the benefits you've already read about!
