Pride of Longbridge Rally - 17th April 2010

A convoy of all things Longbridge, from the first Austin to the last MG Rover...

The Pride of Longbridge Rally will once again be taking place at Cofton Park, opposite the Longbridge Factory. This is the perfect event for us, with our members all owning cars that originated from this site and as such I hope to negociate a special spot for us to park together and where we can put up our club stand and banner. However, this will depend on the support from you so if you're interested in coming along, please add your name to this thread. We will have a run up to the event. I'll sort out the finer details later and they will be posted here.

I am aiming to come along to this one...not done P.O.L. before and want to go.
As it's a saturday work may get in the way so will see what i can do,both events would be even better.

I'd do this but not so keen on the road run so would go straight to the park. It would be different if there was a factory tour with the road run tho".

As it now appears that there isn't a road run after all this year, we can all head over to the park together. I haven't heard anything back about taking our stand along, but on the other hand I haven't heard that we can't! So can I please ask that the holder of the gazebo please bring it, along with the other usual stand stuff. I'll have the banner and a new addition for our stand display (no, not another car...). Can anyone with chairs please also bring them so everyone gets a chance to be seated! Hopefully the lovely weather will continue for a while.

This will be a perfect time to promote Brit-Cars too so I'll see if I can sort some promo material out for that. We'll discuss at the pub meeting on Thursday evening (15th).

I'll add details of the convoy meeting point to the top post over this weekend!

I'm thinking that a start point of the Sixfields cinema car park with a plan of leaving at 8:30am. The event starts at 9:30am and we need get ourselves set up.

Yeah, will be going on the Daventry bypass so if you really want to be lazy we can pick you up as we pass Inta-Part. If you want to do this, text me before 8:30am so we know not to wait for you at Sixfields.
