Recharged my battery today, after its been laid up in the garage after Narnia descended on my part of the world for the last fornight!!!

Runs and ticks over nicely as always, but now, even from cold the engine fan is coming on from the minute the key is in the ignition, also the engine over heating light is illuminated from the position first - (but does extinguish). What is causing this??? Is it a sensor or relay ??? If so where is it located???

Possibly a dodgy coolant temperature sensor-can't remember exactly where it is on the K-Series, think it's near the thermostat?

Does the temp guage move up as normal?

Hi Marcus, if it's the engine bay fan have a look at the engine bay temperatiure sensor (it's easy to get to and a simple check). It's lolocated on a litlte bent bracket just above the expansion tank as shown here in petevicks picture nicked from .org Engine queries 356801

Engine queries Bay-fan-switch1Best Best of luck, hope you get it sorted soon.

Cheers
