MG Rover Solutions
Having used Russell......MGR Solutions to service my TF.....plus sort out the niggling starter on the Tomcat.....in fact he came all the way up just to replace the faulty starter when he had nothing else on is a marker of the man.....he'd get 1 Million percent recommendation from me.
He's cheaper than a garage, infinately knowledgeable.....and a thoroughly decent chap!!

Re: MG Rover Solutions
Just been looking at the prices on Russell's website and they're very reasonable.
Lees, what did he charge for the additional travel costs? After all, Milton Keynes is slightly more than 30 miles from his base!
Also, any chance of him putting up a link to us (like the .org and SWMGF ones) in exchange for an 'official' recommended supplier status for 2010?

That's weird... I've just clicked on the link from my work PC and it's come up fine!

Admittedly I'm on my work computer too, so I'll try again when I get home.

Re: MG Rover Solutions
I'm sure he would Rich.....he didn't charge me any additional costs for travel. He did my C service and fitted new alternator (more expensive as A/C) to the TF back in June, cost was £400.......that's way cheaper than any garage. He's brilliant to watch, works with pace, coz it's his time!!!
It might be an idea if 2 or 3 people book him at once, mini meet, coffee etc.....just an idea

I'd be up for this as I have an occasional flat spot in the ZTT

Re: MG Rover Solutions
I have to confess that I've spent the day up with Matt and Roger Parker today 'playing' with Smudge. Not only did I get my new water pump fitted but had a few other bits sorted out too. It's like a different car!
However, this doesn't mean I wouldn't use Russell for other jobs! And we will be making him an 'Official' SMS recommended trader after Lee's testimonial and his chat.

Re: MG Rover Solutions
Glad you got Smudge sorted Rich and very happy were going to be having Russell as our recommended 'fixer'......did you speak to him about a link to the website/forum??
Dave.....can the ZTT wait till next June when he comes to do the TF and Tomcat servicing??......or is it needing doing with someone else sooner??

It can wait mate. As I say it is only occasional. One of those things that you need to experience; one you need to leave until it gets worse so it can be diagnosed.
