Re: 15th January 2009
Hi Richard,
I'm hoping I may be able to make it to this, weather permitting, whats the story? is it in conjunction with the MGCC /MGOC or is it just us lot catching up?
I've always tended to steer away from the MGOC - had a bit of snobbery because I had a rubber bumper car not a chrome bumpered one when I last spoke to anyone from the MGOC lot (though that was in a different county and many years ago - I was in my twenties) so I've always tended to shy away.
God knows what they'd make of a car not from Abingdon and designed in the 90's

These meetings are strictly SmS. Obviously, guests are welcome to attend but it's just me organising these.
It'll be good to see you!
Rich
That's quite funny. The MGOC in general are usually quite open to the modern cars and scoff at the vintage models. It was always the MGCC that were traditionalists. Anyhow, Northants MGOC are an exception to the rule and tend to be more of a SAGA local group if you know what I mean...Nick wrote:I've always tended to steer away from the MGOC - had a bit of snobbery because I had a rubber bumper car not a chrome bumpered one when I last spoke to anyone from the MGOC lot (though that was in a different county and many years ago - I was in my twenties) so I've always tended to shy away.

I'd love to but will depend on Moira's shifts. I might have to bring the dogs

'Twas a great meeting last night. Thanks to all who turned up and made it a successful first 'local' meeting. It was good to see Cheryl & Ron again too. And at last Seb & I came incredibly close to solving the fog light switch mystery.
Next one is 19th February...
