Well the guy came to fix the car yesterday and put in all the following

LR MLS Head Gasket
LR Oil Rail Ladder
Thermostat
Cam Cover Gasket
Manifold Gasket
Oil and Filter
Coolant
Water pump
Cambelt
Tensioner

i then put in the ITG panel filter!

i got 12 month 12K warranty

and all that took him 6 and half hours to do.

Turns out he was glad i mentioned changing the water pump as it was just on its way out as i had suspected

well the cost........... "drumroll"

£490, so not too bad!

I have the number if anyone wants it? I will leave ful details etc after i've put some miles on it and see how it all goes!

Like i say though very professional and really knew his engines i was surprised at how quickly he stipped it down!

Thats a great price!

when mine went a good 4 years ago, It cost me £800+ but that included the head being skimmed - and a nice scratch along the paintwork courtesy of some braindead mechanic!! polished out alright though!

well he seemed to be pretty careful but i havent seen car in the light yet. The car is having a good polish on wednesday so will inspect further then!

oh yeah i missed off new bolts i got them too....

well due an MOT too so need it looking good...... actually hoping that goes well and everything is done then......

except for the exhaust........ still working on the missis on that one!!!

You should've said the HGF cost you £800, you could've smuggled a new exhaust into the price then!
