As per a suggestion from Rich a couple of weeks ago, are we having a general interior bulb colour changing day on Sunday?

Depends which bulbs you want to change Dave!!! Ultraleds.co.uk is a good place, but it boils down to which ones you wanna replace! ie footwell are festoon bulbs like the glove compartment. If you want the ones in the rear view mirror doing? The binnacle. The switches. The clock. The oil temp guage. etc. I'm happy to do the simple ones at the pub, but would probably suggest that if you want to do everything like Lee 'chav-tastic' Puds has got that we do a special day of it. A perfect thing for the workshop day! You also have to decide on what colour!

I suspect you could be right there DK! However, not sure if he wants Blue for the ligfhts in the rear view mirror, or the super bright white! A little bit of planning work needed to get the right LED bulbs I think!

So...

Footwells -
Rear View Mirror -
Instrument console -
Centre console/switches -
Oil/clock -

Let me know what colours you want and I'll work out what you need to order.

All blue I think because the Ultra White in the mirror might drown the blue effect of the other ones. Also, will blue suit the dashboard?

I think Cap'n is right............a service day project.

I've got the ultra white ones in my mirror, after seeing blue ones in. The problem with putting blue in the mirror is that it renders it useless as a means of looking at notes, maps, lost items, etc. The ultra white is amazingly clear and I would definitely recommend it. As far as your worry about flooding out the blue, that doesn't happen as footwells, instruments, etc. are in shadow, so you still get a great effect. And I think the blue dash would look great... The only reason I haven't done it is that my stereo is multi-coloured so would rather interrupt the flow!

IMO of course! Cool

Dave, I have to agree with Rich! I've got blue in my mirror, but it is useless for being able to see anything! I'd suggets that unless you want ultimate chav like me, that you go for the super bright white in the mirror and blue everywhere else. If you agree, I'll put your shopping list together!

cheers Ok, Dave, Nick and anyone else thinking of doing this route you shall need:

12) 286 5mm wedge bulbs (dashboard & switch)
3) 239 long festoon bulbs ( footwell glove box )
2) 501 bulbs ( interior rear view mirror )

&

1) 7mm BA7 bulb ( for the clock )
