Aaaargh Bought one of these from MGCentre, after finishing messing about with my dash, i realised my plastic cover is actually stuck to the the surrounding cowl!!

So has a nice crack in the plastic now, but hidden with the surrounding piece of instrument cover

anyway tis chrome, unopened, and as new, if anyone wants one, if not off to the wonder of ebay it goes!

Also still have my original interior knocking about the warehouse, if anyone knows of someone whom wants/needs one....

just checked on the mgfcentre and ebay and the surround is going for 35 gold pieces, but'll take £25.

Original bits: Black cloth seats with green piping (couldn't stay, they were clashing!!!!) , doorcards and steering wheel also original dashbulbs that i don't need anymore, so if anyone needs replacements let me know.

Indicators (orange) full set

Man i have alot of random bits 'n' bobs

brushed clock surround, bout half way down, should do, but take the instrument cowl off and see if the plastic cover over the dials is glued down, if not, is easy fit

I always thought these stuck on top of the plastic, like the heater control and switch surrounds do...

They do Rich but the clocks are in a sealed unit with the clear plastic superglued onto the casing. You have to be REALLY careful with this as the clear plastic is VERY brittle and VERY easily cracked/broken. It is easiest to use something like a dremmel and cut it away and then stick the metal in place and then superglue the whole unit back together. They are quite a faff but can be a nice mod. I know of a few people that have had to replaced the instrument pack though because they have cracked the clear plastic!

Yes i cracked mine in the corner, but now comfortably hidden by the instrumental cowling/surround!

And i think if i put that on, the lights won't look quite so dramatic

Apologies... I thought Marcus was referring to the existing plastic surround, not the clear part. Yeah, I know all about the removal of the clear part. I did it on my 'F, the 200 and the 45. The trick is to use the good ole hairdryer and a sharp knife!
