Hello!
Hi to all,
My name's Faye, but everyone calls me Saffie.
After teenage trauma when my mother sold her MGF, I vowed to buy one when I could. That day was 4 weeks ago!
I'm now the proud owner of a 1998 MGF in BRG. He's affectionately called Henry.
I'd like to be active in the MG Owners' scene, especially local events. I'm based in North Oxford.
Today I went to the MGFest at Gaydon. I started off with the Southern Route. All great fun!

Re: Welcome Saffie
Hi Saffie and
I hope you enjoyed 'Fest today (I'm going tomorrow). Many of the SmS members would have been there, so no doubt you had chance to meet them I hope you can make it too our next Pub Meet on the 10th August.

Welcome Saffie
I couldn't get to Fest as we had a family wedding but I hope you had a great time and that the SMS lunatics that did go haven't put you off joining our happy crew!
Cheers

Welcome Saffie
Welcome to our forum Saffie.
An Oxford member, and a BRG MGF. Haven't had one of those for a while. Makes a change from the recent charcoal popularity!
I've added your name for the pub meeting on August 10th and we look forward to meeting you.
Rich.
Re: Welcome Saffie
I was a bit overwhelmed with it all, and didn't really pick up who belonged to what area! However, the people I met setting off from the Dog House were really nice. Looking forwards to the 10th!

As there were two threads to welcome Saffie, I've merged them! That way, everyone will know where to post their welcoming messages...

Re: Welcome Saffie
Hi Saffie, and welcome to SMS. As you're in oxford, you'll probably spot me around at some point, my car is charcoal and the bonnet is covered in stickers/logos, and the numberplate spells my name!
Anyway, hopefully see you at the rose revived on the 10th. However, if you fancy it I will be running this months oxfordMGOC meet which is on Wed 6th as the area secretary for that group is away on holiday so has asked me to step in. We will be at the Lamb & Flag for 7.30pm. It is near Southmoor (OX13 5HN).
BTW are you a member of the MG Car Club? If not, send me a PM with your name and address and I will get a free copy of the magazine sent out to you. You don't have to be a member to be a part of our group, but it is a good magazine and you get some great benefits.

Ooo! I didn't know that was happening - I need to get better at reading my post! I'll most probably go along on the 6th too. I'll definitely be there on the 10thscubastewart wrote:Anyway, hopefully see you at the rose revived on the 10th. Yup, I'm a member of both the MGOC and the MGCC - I'd feel guilty joining one and not the other!scubastewart wrote:

Yeah, Henry is normally pretty shiny!
However, as I work out in the sticks, the tracks (that the council laughingly calls roads) are a bit wet and muddy, so he's getting a wash tonight!
