Interesting MGF
Just thought i would mention, whilst getting my car mot'd at clifton garage, martin was talking to a chap who has rebuilt his engine and reckons he has 220bhp from a 1.8i mgf.
Martin mentioned people were interested to see/hear about it and if he was to bring to martin's garage might make an interesting meet
just a thought.

Re: Interesting MGF
it is possible but you would have to give Dave Andrews in MK around 6k i would guess to hit that from a K series

Re: Interesting MGF
It does sound like an ambitious claim. Maybe a badly calibrated(or badly used) rolling road is to blame. It would be interesting to find out and find out what has been done to boost the power.

Re: Interesting MGF
Be interesting to see more on this.
I was running 190bhp from my 1.8i when it was in my Metro before I converted to 1.9. I was only running with an 'eco-tune' head and 270 cams so if I had more head work and wilder cams I would have been over the 200bhp with my 1.8i
I have the same head currently on the 1.9 but when I get round to it I do have a fully worked head on the bench waiting to go on along with some 304 cams
