MGF for Sale
I've got a 1999 MG MGF for Sale.
This car is overall in great condition for it's age. I am having to sell due to wanting to get a Jaguar and as I've already got an MG TF 135 this is having to go. Three cars is just too much! I purchased this car in October 2012 after the winning bidder didn't come forward.
Since then it's had new rear disks and pads, passed an MOT and has 6 months Tax on it from 31/12.
Things that need looking at:
The rear calipers are sticking
Exhaust blowing
There is a fair amount of rust on the n/s door and around window frame. I have paint and will throw this in with the sale.
Windscreen seal has had it and needs replacing
Rear bumper is cracked
Suspension needs pumping up
Little ding on off side rear.
Central locking a little hit and miss, I've been unlocking on the key and using the second keyfob to deactivate the immobilise. Could just be needing replacement batteries.
Bulb needs replacing on oil guage
Currently needs driver side air vent replacing - I will fit this. Central air vent I've got and will be replaced before sale.
Since purchasing I've attacked all obvious points with copious amounts of WD40, spray grease, and treated the hood with AutoGlym Hood Cleaner and Protector and overall drives nice! No problems with the engine. Head Gasket went at 90,000 miles and was all sorted. Paperwork to prove. I've also had the locking wheel nuts replaced so the wheels go on and off without problem.
Get yourself a lovely convertible for the Spring and Summer!
Any questions, please ask!
£850 ono.

Re: MGF for Sale
I think that the price you are asking is too high when so much work is required. You can purchase a similar car that needs no work and has less mileage for under £800 in the current market.
PM me with a price closer to what you would actually take for it as I know someone who is after a 'project'...
