No WRC at Silverstone for 2012

Not sure if I am reading this right, and I hope not, but it looks like there will be no WRC at Silverstone in 2012.

This is such a shame as I really enjoy that weekend and I know some of you folks do too

Anyone heard, or read, anything at all?

Confused....
The World Rally Championship has not been to Silverstone for over 10years.

The Renault World Series has been at Silverstone for the last two years.
I think it is on August 25/26th 2012

I meant the RWS. Although it is listed at Silverstone I gather that it will be incorporated within another event and tickets wont be free.

On their website...looks like 25th and 26th August!!!......Silverstone is listed, cant see Renault missing UK as it is a huge market for them

That's what I thought Lee however look closely at the small print and it says about being with some endurance race too. Done some digging on a few forums and it does appear that part of the event won't be there that weekend

According to Silverstone's website, that weekend is a round of the WOrld Endurance Championship which features Le Man's prototypes and GT cars.

I've been to the Autosport 1000km race at Silverstone that this has replaced for the last 2 years, it's a good weekend. It's usually a full weekend's racing so it's possible they could include a round of the RWS as a support race.
