Struts and springs for a pre production LE500

I have a set of struts and springs of a pre production LE500, I brought them for my TF , but on examination it appears that they may well be pre 2004 spec. The guy that sold them said they came of the car and he thought they may have been altered in the factory, but he couldn't guarantee it. Sound more likely to be a MG cock up to me 
I'm going to send them back to him, but I thought just in case any one wants a set they can have them for what I paid for them £129.
The shocks have done about 3000 miles.

Technically it was a SAIC / NAC cock up 
these were from an LE500 press car that is now an MGF Trophy Cup racer
