Matt, If we were too close to where you live you wouldnt get to drive your insane cars as much, so think of it as a benefit

Re: Newbee :)
Spinning? shouldnt be doing that unless you cane it at the wrong time , might be worth checking your tyre pressures, check the tyre brands arent mixed on the same axle, check the 185s are on the front and 205s are on the rear, that the suspension is at the right height. If all of those are correct then its time for a 4 wheel alignment.

Re: Newbee :)
Hi Alaina. I think it may have been my parents you were lucky enough to bump into. My dad drives an 'F the same colour as yours. They mentioned having a long chat with someone at Riverside. Anyhow, welcome to our merry band!

Re: Newbee :)
to be fair i did think well the 8th isnt the first thursday of the month but hey go with the flow lol, yea it was your parents! they were really nice and your mum wrote me down your website on a scrap bit of paper, ive still got it lol.
Ill check those things you said to check, i mean maybe im powering down at the wrong moment, ive gone from a 1ltr to this so im not exactly good at judging the beast yet, only been driving jst over a year.
On the 1st maybe you guys could give me some advice on how to survive a winter in this thing because i would like to live to see another summer lol

Re: Newbee :)
Treat the car with respect is probably the tip that covers the bases-MGF's aren't road eating weapons but by the same token their layout (mid engine-rear drive) can catch out the hamfisted or the unwary.
Also-I can DEFINITELY recommend joining the Institute of Advanced Motorists-I did not long after passing my test and it's saved me I would guess hundreds if not thousands in insurance and has certainly saved me from having an accident or two. I'll chat to you at the meet about it if you're interested-I used to be an IAM instructor

Re: Newbee :)
Kool thanks for that advice, ill defo give it some thought.
With the whole spinning wildly out of control (lol) checked the tyre pressure and it was stupidly low on the back, handles better now we've topped it up.
Looking forward to Thursday :0)
