Hydrogas Suspension Empty Re: Hydrogas Suspension

Post  uk kiwis 17/6/2011, 7:27 am

There is a huge amount on this subject on the MGF Register forum. The web (Google) under MGF suspension is another source of information.

Unless you have a leaking suspension pod it just needs re gassing. You will need to find a garage familier with regassing. The basic ingredient is anti freeze the other two percent and separate is nitrogen. At the moment no one does a repair on the units if they are leaking and new units are hard to source. The MGF centre still has one or two, expensive. The front units are different to the rear although they look the same. They have different part numbers.

Ebay is another source for second hand units if yours is leaking and regassing does not cure the problem.

I bought a couple of spares on Ebay for around fifty quid each.

I have had mine regassed two or three times over a ten year period which seems to be normal.

Hope this helps and good luck.........
